About

Not quite sure what to put here.

“Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.”
J. R. R. Tolkien

Currently live in the Midwest of the US . Network engineer (computer geek)

From the Ozarks to Iceland and back again. Now to what I’m doing here? I have no idea but exploring and blathering. Wide range of blogs I read and comment on. Just about the only blogging I will not read or post on will be politics.

Network engineer huh … I used to be a web designer and ran the technology division of a non-profit for a while before deciding to chuck it all and become a writer. I don’t miss the stress!

Hi, thanks for the ‘like’. I return the compliment, and will ‘follow’ your posts. That’s a serious gas kiln, makes mine look like a toy. I like your glaze effects, presumably mostly cone 10 with some reduction? Most of my work is cone 6 in an electric kiln, so quite a different outcome. Good luck with the blog, too.

  3. Lovely pottery, Sigrid! You have balanced out your intellectual side (engineer) with your creative side nicely. All the best!

Thanks fort the foodforfun visit. Please continue to “explore and blather” (your words, not mine)–it’s quite entertaining!

  5. I like that you are apolitical, as I am too. I’d like to say all sorts of clever things, but I am just a bit lost right now. I am intrigued by your fast and the reasons which led you to start it. Mostly, I wanted to thank you for stopping by and looking at my modest blog. I’m just starting out and really appreciate all the “likes”.

In a nutshell honestly as I age I become ever more vain and try to retain body (size and shape) and vigor.

Well a couple more things. As I age I have also become more holistic and very anti modern and western medicine. Some of this is comical and some not so much. Just had to deal with the loss of my father and our wonderful modern medicine that made his last years in pain and hard to live.

Not a problem I liked your blog it was energetic and titillating. Plus some fun so a win, win and win for me.

      • It feels like you are almost rooting for me, which is lovely and especially welcome given how very green I am at blogging. I sense that philosophically, we are not that far apart. I am weary of doctors and lawyers, and I don’t even have the excuse of being a hippie. I’m a bit of a cynic when it comes to the establishment, or the system, or the dogma or whatnot…

I too have aged and am especially flattered by your comment about my blog being energetic. This particular brand of energy does not always reflect my state of mind. But never mind: I’ll take the compliment and I’ll run with it! Many thanks indeed.

Hey, thanks for ‘liking’ my blog http://GetOffYourButts.com!! I am surprised (and pleased) since you say you don’t read political blogs. But I’m neither Democrat or Republican just an American too often disappointed in what America has become and where it seems to be going. I guess it’s an avenue of release for me.
